How to make a folder in your hard drive

Note: It is important to make a folder first before you put anything on your hard drive as you will be able to find the item you copied to your hard drive. How difficult would it be if I put an item on your hard drive without you knowing where I put the item/picture. But if I told you that I put your picture in the folder of test, which is in my documents, you would know where the picture is.
                                                                                 SO LETS GET STARTED:
1. Choose a destination - “my documents would be for documents, “my pictures would be for pictures, my music would be for music, my videos would be for videos” These are the most popular cabinets on your hard drive and all are in super cabinet called “my documents”
2. Click start - choose “my documents” - this will allow you to find any of the 3 other cabinets. We want to put a picture in your hard drive so choose the folder “my pictures”
3. Double left click to open the folder “my pictures”
4. Right click on any white space between all the folders you have.
5. A box comes up with “view” etc…
6. Move your mouse over each option until you highlight “new”
7. A new box comes up so move your mouse over each option until you highlight “folder” (usually at the top) - left click on the word folder and a new folder has appeared on the screen.
8. Your name of the folder is already highlighted so just type in your desired name of the new folder.
9. Click on enter which is on your keyboard.
That’s it - you now have a new folder for your pictures in “my pictures” cabinet.

NOW YOU WANT TO FIND THAT FOLDER FROM THE BEGINNING:

SO LETS GET STARTED:
1. You just turned on your computer - it is a new day - glorious and sunny.
2. Go to start - click on it.
3. Go to “my documents” or you should be able to go directly to “my pictures” but I think it is good practice to understand the flow of the different cabinets. If you wanted to find a file in “my music” or “my videos” you would have to start in “my documents” So let’s start in “my documents” to help you further understand the flow. Does that make sense?
4. Click on “my documents”
5. A bunch of folders comes up. Let’s make sure these folders are arranged in alphabetical order. Go to tutorial “Arrange your folders in alphabetical order” if you cannot remember how to do this.
6. Find the folder “my pictures”
7. Double left click on the folder to open the cabinet “my pictures”
8. A bunch of folders appears again. Make sure these folders are arranged in alphabetical order - go to tutorial “Arrange your folders in alphabetical order” if you cannot remember how to do this.
9. Now find your folder under whichever name you named it. Once you found it you can open the folder to see the contents by double left clicking the folder.
